Torture!!!

For those of you who know my son at all, he doesn't cry. He's a very happy, easy-going kid. That is until I try to put a hat on him. I don't know if any of you guys have this problem, but it doesn't matter when or what kind of hat, or how much I try to make it a game or try and distract him with toys or even food (which usually always works) the second he lays eyes on the hat....forget about it, he just starts crying. He's been wearing hats since he came out of me, so why is it so scary??? I don't know what to do as it's getting colder and he needs to wear one. This latest one I bought is really really soft on the inside too. It didn't matter though, he was just plain mad. You may think, "poor baby", but you should be saying "poor mommy", as it tortures me more I'm sure.

Happy 43rd Birthday Paul

Paul's birthday was on Monday, but we celebrated on Saturday. Thanks to Paul and Linda and the kids taking Will for the day, we were able to spend a relaxing day together for an entire day. We had so much fun, but missed our little Will. Can't wait till he's old enough to go mini golfing with us.

The Centre of Attention

Well, this week for coffee we all met at my place. The kids were all so good and even managed to put up with Dante, who seemed to be quite taken with everyone. At one point all the kids were on the floor and there was Dante, right smack dab in the middle. Our house is so small but it was really great having everyone there. We can't wait to be joined by baby #5 - Fleming.

Smart Baby

I don't know who is smarter; Will for figuring out how to feed Dante and tease him with food, or Dante for knowing where the best seat in the house is. Either way, it's pretty darn cute.

Will and Auntie V's Bear

My sister and Will's fabulous Auntie Veronica made him a bear and duck. He is in love with the bear and has regular conversations with him. I'd give anything to know why he was telling his bear.

Do We Have Mice?

William has four bottom teeth and one top tooth. His other top tooth is just coming in and he has been biting anything and everything he can get to his mouth. Paul and I walked to Co-op tonite to get a few groceries. Will was being fussy so we gave him a box of Rice Thins to shake and play with on the way home. When we got home, we discovered that he was eating his way through the box, he swallowed all the cardboard too. Do we have mice??? No, we have William :o)

Bad, Bad Mommy

Well, Dante finally got his cut on Thursday and as usual, he comes back feeling completely embarrassed about his nakedness. He spends the following two weeks, shaking and hiding in our room and will not sleep anywhere but between Paul and I to keep warm, it's really quite funny. Anyway, I always buy him a special treat for when he comes home from the groomers.

Will was playing happily with his toys on the floor and Dante was very happily enjoying his treat. I went into the kitchen to fold some clothes (...yes, my laundry room is in my kitchen) and not 5 minutes later, Dante is at my feet looking up at me with those sad eyes of his and shaking of course....i'm like, "wow, that was fast, what? you don't like your cookie??" So I go to get his cookie, only to find that Will had it and had promptly eaten half of it!!! You can see buy the teeth marks he left in it that he quite enjoyed it. I freaked out but realized after reading the ingredients there was no harm done. But just like Dante, he was so mad at me when I took it away from him. Bad, bad Mommy!

Reunited...

.....and it feels so good.....BIG day at our house this past weekend. We celebrated the home-coming of our long lost baby bear. Thank you to Mike, Erin and Anderson for taking such good care of him for us. We celebrated with music, hats, noise makers and of course a special sprinkle donut. William was soooo happy to see his bear...........even Dante was excited.

Will and Dante are becoming fast friends. Dante actually brought Will a toy so they could play.

Mama-Mia

Um...gee, can you tell we had pasta for supper last night! Will managed to get it everywhere, even in his hair. But the floor was clean thanks to Dante....he was a happy dog that night, I think he got more to eat than Will in the end. But he was so much fun to watch. You should of seen him flinging it all over. Next time i'll take video, he was so funny. Perhaps penne would be a better choice next time.

It's Going Way Too Fast...

It's official! My beautiful little boy is no longer a baby. He's now 11 months old if you can believe it, and he's such a big boy now.

-He can now wave bye-bye

-He can now feed himself with a spoon (well, it mostly lands in his lap)

-He has four teeth on the bottom and one tooth on the top

-He bops up and down and side to side when he hears music

-He reaches up for you when you reach out for him

-He plays peek-a-boo

-He loves to clap his hands

-He's totally off baby food and is on real people food

-He's down to three bottles a day and now takes the sippy cup

-He babbles and talks non-stop

-He's wearing size 18 month's pj's and clothes

-He loves playing with his instruments especially the drums

-When he hears daddy open the door when he comes home from work, he totally freaks out and gets all excited when I say...."daddy's home-where's daddy?"

-He laughs hysterically every time he sees our dog Dante

-And my favorite, he says "ma-mee" when he first sees me in the morning when I go to get him up out of his crib

It's going way too fast...........:o(

First I find out that Anderson had my First Baby Bear, now I see in one of his blogs that he's wearing my pijamas too!!!! :o)
