Finger Lickin' Good

There is no mistaking that William is our child. Just watch him eat and you'll know. He LOVES food. His new favorite is grapes, which is what he's eating here. So cute.

Daddy wanna cracker????

And for my next trick..........

Sometimes I think I toture Will with all the on camera tricks I try to make him do. As you will see by the end of this video, it looks as though he agrees. Poor kid.

All Boy

I realize it's been a week since I've blogged. I've been so busy with everything else. But this morning i was watching Will play in his big boy pj's and i couldn't help get a little video. He's definitely all boy and loves his fire engine. He makes a car sound as he pushes it around. I didn't teach him that. Yet another sign of genius I'm sure :o)

Me and my Daddy

Only Daddy would get into Will's new toy with him. He's the best daddy ever and Will LOVES it.

Visit with Uncle Richard and Kelly

My brother Richard and his new sweety Kelly, came for dinner on Saturday night. We had such a great time and Will clearly loves his Uncle. Richard has a really great way with kids, they naturally love him. I think it's because he doesnt' mind getting down on the floor and playing with them.

Daddy dressed me today

You can tell when Daddy dresses Will. He's in camouflage pants and a Mohawk hairdo. Don't you just love it!!!

Feeling better today

Will is feeling much better today and standing to get stuff out of his toy box. Doesn't seem that exciting I know, but for us, it's a milestone.

I'm sick AND teething

My poor baby Will has been really sick since Sunday. We haven't even left the house. He's better today but still not feeling great. I also discovered this morning that he has cut not one, not two, but FOUR new teeth since Monday if you can believe it. One on all 4 sides, in the back but not molars. I have been checking regularly cos he's had his hands in his mouth so much lately, but i found nothing until this morning. No wonder he's so miserable. He's had fever, stuffed nose, runny nose, cough and now this. We're going to hibernate for a couple more days I think. You will notice a certain grey hew to Will's blanket. Ever since he got sick he won't let the thing go. I promise i'll manage to get it washed before we see you guys on Friday. Yuck!

Because of all of this he has added a new word to his vocabulary....OUCH! See if you can pick it up in the very short video. The phone rang so I had to cut it short. Ha ha.

Being silly with my Uncle Guy

My First Haircut

Paul, Will and I went home on Sunday to see mom and dad as it was her birthday. Mom graciously offered to cut her grandson's hair. He did pretty good. Thanks Mom!

Finally!!!

13 months today, William Paul Biro is finally crawling.......forwards! I'm so proud of him, and I think he's proud of himself too. The only problem is he won't STOP now. I believe my days of leisure (which is what it felt like compared to this) are officially over.

Sleep Ritual

#1 Make sure you're comfortable and warm

#2 Turn on sleep sheep to scary whale sounds

#3 Insert Sucky

#4 Find my special blanket

#5 Put your head down and relax

I want Dante's life

Here is Dante doing what he always does. I found him in the middle of the afternoon, sleeping on my bed in the only patch of sun he could find. Ah, a dog's life.

That can't be comfortable

Will and I went to his first music class this morning and it was wonderful. But let me tell you, I was sweating when we were done. Lots of moving and actions and such. Because Will isn't walking I have to carry him alot. Needless to say, when we got home we were both pooped. I don't know how he managed to fall asleep like this but he did. Hope he doesn't wake up with a cramp.

Not exactly crawling................

William is now 13 months old and is still not walking, but I have to say he gets around just fine.

Emerald Lake Lodge

Paul and I had one of the most wonderful weekends together we've ever had. We highly encourage you guys to check this place out. The scenery, atmosphere, food, everything is done superbly. It's this wonderful combination of elegance and relaxed atmosphere that's hard to explain. The food undoubtedly is world class, we have never eaten food like that before. It's 5 stars but you can where your jeans to dinner.

They have this huge lodge with the restaurant, a games room, bar and lounge with huge fireplaces where you can sit and play games, have a drink or snack and just "hang out". There's an outdoor hot tub overlooking the point (where incidentally there was a wedding going on just when we decided to go in) attached to that is a club house where you can change, get towels, snacks or even workout.

The rooms were romantic and cozy with wood burning fireplaces and king size beds. And the scenery was breathtaking. And both Paul and I noticed how incredibly quiet and peaceful it is out there.

All in all we LOVED it and will be back. We had what was called the Gourmet Package which included our dinner (three course meal) and breakfast (buffet or menu) it included taxes and gratuity too which was great. All we had to pay for was our booze which incidentally is really expensive up there.

Check out the pics below, and you'll see what I mean.

I took this on our drive up. Seriously, how can anyone deny that there is a God when you see such beautiful creativity.

Our very cozy and romantic room. Loved it!

This was the view from our balcony.

The path you take to walk around Emerald lake is in the trees. It was so beautiful and lightly snowing, very romantic.

Everywhere you explore is beautiful.

You can take a 5.8km walk all the way around Emerald Lake. This is the view from the other side. The small cabin you see on the left was ours.

So Happy together..........

Love of my life!

I know it's not good to brag, but I can't help myself. I'm so proud of Paul, he's been promoted to Director of Marketing and Sales at Urban Mortgage.

Way to go baby!!!

Learning to feed ourselves!!

Will is 13 months old and he is starting this stage where he wants to do somethings himself. He's drinking out of a cup now pretty good and wants to feed himself with a spoon. So I started by giving him his own spoon when i'm feeding him soft stuff so he would think he was doing it on his own. But darn it if he isn't smart and on to my little trick. So today he decided he wanted the spoon I was using and he just reached out and grabbed it out of my hand and flung the plain yogurt I was feeding him all over...........the couch, the table, the carpet, and yes, the wall behind him. The funny thing is, I didn't notice the stuff on the wall until about 3 hours later when I happened to catch "something" out of the corner of my eye. EWE!!

I don't think i'm gonna like this stage.

Our little Pumpkin

We had so much fun this past Halloween with Will. I think he actually liked being in his costume in the end. I of course dressed him in the morning and dragged him all over. Even took him to Toys R Us. Of course, everyone loved it.

Got to pass out lots of candy too. I think we had about 35-40 kids in the end. FUN! As you can see by the last photo, it is the end of the day and I look like i'm about to pass out.

Merry Christmas???? Nope, Happy Halloween

Christmas came early this year! Really early.

Anyone that knows Paul at all knows that he has this obsession with Christmas. Could be worse I guess. Every year is a battle to make him "wait" till Dec 1st to put up the Christmas tree and of course discuss what strange and bizare lawn ornament we will add to our front yard.

So, it should be no shock to those who know him that Paul saw the Halloween party we were going to to be the perfect time to bring a little Santa to all of our lives. Of course I then was forced (and I mean forced) to play Mrs. Clause. For those who know ME well, know that I do not share this same obsession :o) Naturally Will had to get in on the action too. He didn't seem to mind and loved Santa.

One of the many reasons I love my Paul is that he puts his whole heart into everything and sees everything as an adventure and an opportunity to spread a little joy. You can't help but be in a good mood when you're sleeping with Santa :o)
